The State General Attorney informed of the arrest of 9 persons that operated a child prostitution organization, 8 of them were from the organized crime unit and one was a client.
The State Attorney, Hector Cabrera Rivera explained the modus operandi of the offenders who identify and contract their victims in the vicinity of schools, mainly high schools, in Merida in order to enroll the youth into prostitution.
They offer incentives like easy money to the victims in exchange of sexual favors. The people that have been arrested are: David Olivera Añorver, Yeni Marisol Solís Polanco, Ninive de Jesús, Cámara Solís, Josué Agustín Monima Uc, José Fernando Juárez Herrera, Silvia Deyanira Acosta Polanco, Jhonatan René González Acosta, Josué Arcides Solís Polanco and, José Luis Flores López, the client.
The mother of one of the victims informed the authorities through the Public Ministry about these activities. The police found and secured a vehicle that was used to transport the young women (victim), also they secured along with cell phones containing explicit images of the victims that they had exchanged with their client to offer the services.
