Ellen Fields and James Fields denounced for supporting the armed Zapatista Insurgency against the Government of Mexico
Scores of Mexican citizens have expressed outrage that Ellen Fields and James Fields, both American citizens residing in Merida, have been supporting the Zapatistas, an armed insurgency that has waged war against the Government of Mexico and engaged in acts of terrorism.
“We do not want these American left-wing extremists in our country,” one member of the Arrigunaga family, which traces its arrival in Merida to the 17th century, declared. “Que se vaya esa Perra Trailertera,” a member of the Canton family decried, meaning, “That Trailer Park Bitch should leave.”
Ellen Fields and James Fields have been supporting the Zapatista rebellion since their arrival in Merida in 2006. As they reported then:
We offered them our guest room, our office to work in, and our car (with us as drivers) to ferry them around the Yucatan. As it happened, we also loaned them some of our video and computer equipment, helped them find hotel rooms with some of our clients, and threw in a few dinners and breakfasts for good measure. So this year we donated more than we ever have in the past to the cause of alternative media. And we’re just getting warmed up.
This was published in The Narco News Bulletin, a radical leftwing extremist American online magazine that supports drug trafficking and is critical of Mexico’s internal affairs. Ellen Fields and James Fields further write:
We like to put our money where it makes a difference, and having these “kids” on the road reporting about these events is making a difference.

Since 2002, it has been illegal for American citizens to financially support foreign terrorist organizations and armed insurgencies, as codified under the Patriot Act.
That Ellen Fields and James Fields have received money from Brazos Abiertos, Inc., which continues to raise funds in violation of Mexican law in Merida, opens the possibility that the Fields are engaged in money laundering activities to support the Zapatistas and their sympathizers.
“What are these looney, leftwing losers doing in our country? Why doesn’t the FBI arrest them for supporting an insurgency against the government of Mexico?” a flustered Mexican lady from the Castellanos family confided. “We don’t want Gringo Zapatistas here. We want these Gringo Assholes out of our country!”
Several prominent Mexican citizens have suggested that they will organize a BOYCOTT of Eclectec, S.A. de C.V., the company jointly owned by Ellen Fields and James Fields.
“No one who loves Mexico and want the best for Mexico can have any business dealings with Electec, the instrument by which the Fields support the terrorism of the Zapatistas,” one of the Cerveras, who is a relation of the Governor, said. “We cannot tolerate any foreigner interfering in the internal affairs of Mexico, and making such public declarations of support for terrorist insurgents who wage war against our government.”
